Diva Dolls Community Service Projects

Diva Dolls Academy takes great pride in providing cultural, educational, social and environmental community service projects. We have participated in community service projects such as Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets for inner city families, annual March of Dimes walks, National HIV Awaresness Day, National Domestic Violence Day, Breast Cancer Awareness, etc.

Our goal is to give our young ladies a rich experience in all areas of their life via community service. We believe that these experiences will help them to develop morals, character, empathy and love for humankind and animals. We believe these young ladies will become empowered and know the importance of making a difference in their society.

Mrs. April Bethea-Jackson

April Bethea-Jackson was raised in the City of Baltimore and became self-motivated to fulfill many of her goals because of the challenges she was destined to overcome. She entered into the medical field in 1998 after her advanced educational training in the field. Her area of focus has been in Woman’s Health, where she holds the position of Practice Manager. She became knowledgeable of every aspect in the Obstetrics and Gynecology specialty working closely with some of Baltimore’s Top Doctors. Since working in this field she became very confident with advising woman of all ages, but she highly gravitated to female youth. A special bond between her and the patients she encounter is undeniable. She has built a great rapport with many providers and professionals and hopes it will be beneficial to open up major opportunities with the students enrolled in Diva Dolls Academy. Mrs. Jackson assisted in coordinating missionary work in Haiti, New Orleans, and Sri Lanka after natural disasters and she remains actively involved in many of these missions from the home front. In recent years April realized that her calling was much greater than the medical field and she began training in mentoring because of her passion to assist all young women who are striving for excellence.

As a wife and mother of two daughters she continues to exemplify her willingness to do more for the community by volunteering with families of YWCA in the past which led her desire to pursue a degree in Human Service Management; as she is currently enrolled at the University of Phoenix. Through the relationships she built over the years with professionals, she hopes after identifying the interest of every student in our program that she can directly connect them with professional in their area of interest to make their community service hours more meaningful and intriguing. Although she has been an active volunteer with our program in the past this new position will give each student the opportunity to personally meet with her to express their life-long goals and interest. We are proud to have Mrs. April join our team as a loyal and committed individual who will bring some great opportunities as our Community Service Coordinator.
